I needed to improve the storage in my woodshop just like all you all out there so I took a couple of days to redo this space by my door. The first picture is the finished cabinet and the others show the progress the last one shows what the space looked like before and why it needed some attention. I made it so the bottom doors line up with my miter/radial arm saw station and act as a support for long stock. That is why I used piano hinges. It is always nice to get a shop project done.
Cheers

Good idea on the door.
That table certainly doesn’t look like shop cabinets.. really nice.

Yeah, this is exactly what I need. I feel dumb for not thinking about it. I have limited space in my one-car garage. This idea is great. Nice work. Yes, it IS always nice to get a project done.

Thank you Josh. I feel spoiled when I hear about some of the shops out there. My darling wife found this house listed as” oversized heated double garage with 220 power” and said to me “this looks interesting”
She knew that the house would undergo a serious reno to her liking and I just needed a detached shop to be happy. That was 14 years ago and she tells me that if I had a bathroom out there I would never come in. And she is always right. Some of us are blessed with perfect partners that support our wood addictions and tool fetish. I;-D
The new cabinet is home for all screws, nails and misc hardware that we tend to hoard. I’m ashamed to say it is almost full and all my crap isn’t in it yet.
