Another glorified bandsaw box. Glued up alternating cherry and maple boards. Cut the circle. Cut off the bottom, hollowed out the center and glued the bottom back on.

For the top, taped a piece of cherry and maple together then cut both at the same time. Took one of each to form the yin-yang symbol. They still didn’t fit together perfectly, so the gap is filled with 5 minute epoxy mixed with india ink. It came out pretty nice I think.

The lid hinges on a 1/8” brass rod and there’s a rare earth magnet in the front so it snaps shut.

Well done. The filling of the kerf adds character to this box, nice blend of timbers, well done
