A pine desk box or (large) lap desk that is based on a Shaker version from 1830s from Dr. McCue’s collection. The dimensions and ratios of the original, recreated here, are not what I usually see in Shaker pieces – but then again, I am no expert at Shaker furniture either.
My first attempt at breadboard ends.

Looks like it’s already in use? LOL! Nice piece. Pine ain’t the easiest material to work with.

Love this!!!! I draw a lot and am looking to build something similar. Great build. I love how thin it is as well. Very nice.
