Old beat up hardwood pallets can be fun to play around with. I made this project about a year ago. It is a simple oak box was made from a slat of pallet oak wood, with the addition some scrap mahogany. I chose this piece of wood for the knot shown in the top of the box. I usually give my boxes away, but this one sits beside my easy chair. I can’t keep everything I make, but this little box is mine! Strange how some of the simplest things we create have great attraction to us. Go figure!

Good looking box. Some projects fight us to the end, others almost fall together. I have always kept a few along the way.

And a big welcome to Lumberjocks.

Great little box.
99% of my projects are made of pallet wood and that’s fine with me.
