I made this bookshelf as a Christmas present for my brother-in-law and his wife. The carcass is oak plywood with solid oak face frames and top. I used the Kreg jig to build the carcass and face frame. This was my first experience with that jig and i really liked it. Made construction really easy. This was also my first time building doors and i was happy with my first attempt. Normally i don’t stain my projects as i like the look of natural wood but they wanted it black so i tried Minwax ebony stain. I didn’t not like the finish. It ended up really blotchy and wasn’t uniform at all.

Great looking bookshelf, like the doors and the finish. I’m sure they like it. Great job!
