I made this box for a friend. He has someone in his church who has retired
and he wanted to give this to her for all her effort these past years.
I made this out of walnut and cherry. I used a new set of edge banding router bits to give me more contact surface joining the cherry
trim to the walnut top. I like using these hinges from Rockler. I used my cnc machine for the crucifix.
I want to thank the boxguy on lumberjocks for his tips on making boxes. I have used his instructions
to make a couple of jigs that helped a lot.

Wonderful box! Gorgeous woods and cool carving. I’m sure it will be greatly appreciated.
