I was not going to add this but then I was looking at everyone’s jobs and decided I would share this. I live in a town house with simple rooms that to me were BORING! So I decided to add crown mold and chair rail and box molding to liven it up. I also added the door to give it some character. It was not hard to do except for the coping and measuring everything to make sure the boxes were spaced properly.

Is the wall behind the box molding made of wood, or did you simply paint the wall white?
Nice job.

I painted the wall white. If I was going to live in the house forever maybe I would do that. The owner was real happy and gave me free rein to do what ever I want to fix up the house.

Nice work. How old is your son? Must not be a teen. There’s no way I would have wanted a door that my parents could see through.
