.....maybe I need a new gun?” This cantankerous fellow is from a blank we cut out in our carving club. Roger Stegal did the design and we cut the blanks out one meeting at a member’s shop. The plan was to work on them only at the monthly meetings and finish them together. But bad weather got us off schedule and I think everyone is about finished by now. I think the toughness of southern basswood shows through in his attitude. But it was free, so I can’t complain too much! He’s about ten inches high. Thank’s for looking!

quickly becoming a fan of your work…..this is so cool.

To me he looks like he’s saying:
Damn kids, walkin around tweetin and textin like a bunch of zombies. When I was a youngin’ we didn’t care what you had for lunch. Nobody sent me a telegram askin: where u at? or LOL…what does that mean anyway? LOL…....damn kids. I need a beer.” Ha! great expression on his face!

I gotta try carving more. very inspirational. what fun!

Nice work Mike. Weather has kept our group from meeting as well. Looking forward to seeing the guys/gals next week.
