I wanted to give a football memorabilia case as a gift, but couldn’t find one which I liked and fit into my budget. I used walnut and ash for the base. For the case, I bent plexiglass using a heat gun and homemade form. The case is tall enough for the football to sit on a small stand. The football is placed on top of the ash and sits along that line.
Tip – if I were to do this again, I would have made the curve of my homemade form/jig tighter. Once the plexiglass had cooled after being bent, it settled to a wider curve than my form/jig.
