This was a small entertaiment center that my wife wanted to raise the TV up and store the normal tv acessories
(cable box, dvd player, blue ray player) as well as some movies.

This whole project took about 3 days for me to complete

Tools used
Small portable table saw
biscuit joiner
heat gun

Material used
1 sheet of 3/4 red oak plywood
1 roll red oak edge banding

I finished the project with Minwax stain and Semigloss poly

Nice…. sometimes the simplest design is the best. I like the color too.
I’m sure it’s built a lot better than the stands you get at the TV store.

do you get to work with your dad on any projects? my dad was a salesman…wouldn’t know what end of a hammer to use. my mom was the artist with the wood sense I’m blessed with. She got it from her dad.

I’m a big salt water tank fan too. see my post: the four year project.

So, you were in the service? being from San Diego, were you in the Navy? I was stationed on the CVN Enterprise back in the late 70s and we pulled in to SD several times on our sea drills. what an experience that was!

looking forward to more of your posts.

Glad to have you here at the USS Lumberjocks, Sir. Welcome aboard!

reedwood thanks for the comments, the design was based off of what the wife wanted.

I have been fortunate over the last few years to have my dad com and stay with me for a few months and we have been able to do a little wood working together. I will post some projects that we have worked on.

Yes I was in the Navy and retired in 2010, I as well was stationed on a aircraft carrier the U.S.S. Saratoga in the early 90’s. I just recently moved to the San Diego area about 5 years ago.

Very Nice Compact Design for sure!

Thanks for the Great description of the Parts & Tools. Doesn’t always happen around here anymore.
