Hello, This is my step stool I made from the plans on Steve Ramsey’s Website. I been a big fan of WWMM ever since it started and this step stool always caught my eye. I just love the simple but classy design. I built mine out of sassafras and it features a red mahogany stain. For the finish I brushed on glossy polyurethane. I gave it two good coats then smoothed it out with 0000 steel wool. After the steel wool I gave it a good coat of paste wax to finish it off. The end result is a nice smooth semi gloss sheen. Thanks for viewing, Nucc.

Very nice job! And I appreciate the full explanation of the finish. Keep up the good work. I sure my short wife would love having one for the kitchen. I also enjoy following WWMM with Steve.

You did a great job. I need to build one and will have to view Steve’s video.

It’s beautiful, like design and woods used and the finish really set it off. Great job!
Have your say...
