This is a wood rack I made awhile ago for my wood shop. The posts are made of 2 2×4’s sandwiching the tapered 2×6 arms and 2×4 sections in between. The bottom knee brace holds 4×8 sheets and the legs have a slot to stick two boards out the other way so I can page through the sheets of plywood like a book. I made another set of 5 to sit behind my miter saw, but the lowest set of arms are shorter for more head room. They are currently holding a lot of wood right now and have held up well. They are also anchored to the wall for safety. Thanks.

Edit: I realized I had a picture of the second set I made so I added it.

Nice Lumber rack. Looks like you didn’t even need to secure it to the wall. I assume the legs and the weight of the sheets make it very stable.

You are lucky to have such high ceilings in your shop. My shop is in my basement so I do not have very much overhead space.
