Here is my kerfmaker, inspired by mafe: and others.

I made mine a bit longer than others I have seen as I have been doing some big kerfs when making toy swords for the kids.

The knob and t-bolt came from the Lee Valley jig and fixture parts kit I bought a couple of years ago, one of the most useful purchases I have made, look for them when the come up on special offers. The knob was a bit to big to lie the tool on it’s side flat so I chucked it up in the drill press and turned it down with a file.

Made from birch and maple.

It makes excellent kerfs as you can see in later pics.

You did a nice job. I bought two kits from rockler a while back.
