My roots are my anchor

To me an anchor enchants me with many thoughts. Sometimes, very similar to they way a tree does. It reminds me of strength, life, journey, blessings, and dependance. I have always wanted to make one and decided that black walnut was a nice choice of wood. It’s darkness reminds me of the depth of the seas, it’s scarceness may represent the value of treasures and its leathery look, the wind worn faces of pirates.

Great carving job. How big is the anchor and how long is the chain?
