a very simple mortice routing jig. edges will still remain round but that can be fixed by rounding over tenon. also, didn’t use/have a plunge router but i didn’t need one either cause the mortice came out to the edge. jig made from scraps, except for clams :)

You need a pretty long bit for the router to use this. Great idea anyhow

yes, bit i used was about 1.25” long by 0.5” diameter. was able to rout a 3/8ths deep by 3.5” long mortice in one slow pass in red oak.
