French Cleat Tool Holders

I have a decent amount of free wall space, and not much floor space. I decided to make use of this space with a french cleat system. I used 3/4” pine ply on all the tool holders, with a 3/4” poplar dowel for the pliers holder. The caliper and divider holders have proven to be the most useful, as they let me set my measurement, then put them back on the holder until the next time I need them. I’ve really enjoyed this system, as it is very “grab and go”, and it allows for nearly limitless modification and expansion.

I am in the process of gathering storage ideas. This one will be near the top of the list. It solves my “how do I make this grow in the future”? question.

Some great ideas for tool holders here. I use Pegboard for my storage but like making custom holders. May have to borrow a few ideas.

I have been redoing my shop with French cleats as well. I like the unit you made for combination squares! I’ll have to build a similar one.

Very clever storage solution. I hope you don’t mind me copying some of your ideas :-)

Love the tool storage. I’m definitely using it for my wife’s lathe tools. Thanks for posting.
