This is a hand bell cabinet I finished last month to replace an ugly painted plywood cabinet that the bell choir had outgrown. It holds over 60 bells each with it’s own recessed circle that matches the circumference of the bells bottom and a hole for the clapper to hang in. Drawers hold smaller bells in lift out slotted trays. Finish is golden oak stain overcoated with shellac and a walnut glaze and 3 topcoats of wipeon poly.

This is great! It certainly is not a weekend project. Good job on the build and the finishing, it looks fantastic!

My wife and three daughters are all life-long Hand Bell ringers. One daughter is now a director. As a fellow woodworker, I can appreciate your labor of love in creating this fine piece. Thanks for sharing!

Excellent work on that fine piece of furniture. Great design, very well executed. A great family heirloom for sure to preserve and store those treasured hand bells.
