I feel like the guy who got a Japanese symbol as a tattoo thinking it meant courage. My sister bought me this ceramic tile in China and I thought it would look better in a frame. As you can see it is hanging next to the entry door. Hopefully framing it hasn’t mucked up any karma bonus that might come my way.
Anyway Steph loves it (my sister) and so does Therese (my wife).
The wood is reclaimed Silky Oak. A marvellous Aussie timber. It was reclaimed from a large dining table (one of the legs).
Finish is Shellac and Bees wax.
The joins are hand cut m&t.

Great job, the frame is beautiful and fits the pretty tile. Like the tight joints and great finish.

Have your say...
