This is a box that will hold old bags from the grocery store that we use to take out litter, pooper scoop on the the dogs walk and yes hold my lunch that I take to work. It is made of red cedar that was left over from another project. The joints are rabbeted and glued. All corners were rounded over with 1/4” bit. For a finish I wanted it to look old and beat up so I stained the wood with a stain I was almost out of and painted it two colors left over form home improvement projects. I then sanded it down till the wood grain began to show through and finger painted the word “bags”. Finally I added a few coats of finishing wax to protect the product.

Well done. I hope you use a different bag for each of your tasks.

Just don’t get them mixed up! Great idea to save and reuse those plastic bags. We keep ours in an old butter churn.

I like the rustic finish.
The beer looks 1/2 gone is that why the lettering is crooked?

Great and functional project, like the distressed look. Well done!
