While definitely not fine woodworking it serves a purpose. Built an 2×8 run of nesting boxes for the new chickens to nest in. All half inch plywood and Kreg pocket hole screws. Used 2×4 cleats to mount it. Came out fine and I get a few free eggs out of it. Real ones with yellow yokes.

Nice nest boxes. How many chickens and what kind(s) do you have.
I love chickens. I have 18 bantams of various breeds; most are the green laying Americana type. My two nest boxes hang on the outside of the coop with a lift lid so I don’t have to go into the coop to get the eggs.

Not sure what type of chickens because they are for my buddy. He has a few different breeds and I get some free eggs so all good. Now if I get my place this summer I will start with my own chickens and will use a wooden tractor and mesh electric fence for pasture raised.

Nice project. Hope there isn’t any fowl play in the future.

Very cool. I just bought a place just outside of town and chickens are in our future – looks like something solid that i’ll be able to knock out sometime. Now I just have to learn more about chickens… Thanks for sharing!
