This was my solution to leaving the jackets on the back of the dining room table. I made this entirely with hand tools. Very gratifying to know that you can do things without relying on power tools. I was giving a very old draw knife by my grandfather which I used to shape the Butternut 4×4, I wanted the hand huend look. This isn’t a perfect project, but then again I didn’t want it to be I was given the Butternut “crotch” by my grandfather as well and its about 40 years old. No worries of anything drying or cracking now.
Wouldn’t mind hearing your thoughts on this guy.

I like the hand tool look. Now everything else in the room needs to match… job security.
