This is another project that I found in Woodsmith magazine. It is an end table that conceals one drawer and 4 collapsible TV trays. Because the trays are low to the ground they are much less likely to tip over and since they are made from solid Red Oak they are incredibly sturdy.

The case is made from plain-sliced Red Oak plywood but everything else is solid stock. It was somewhat time consuming to make but well worth the effort especially considering the look on people’s faces when you reveal to them the true purpose of this particular piece of furniture. Very unique!

Looks like it fits where it is. :-)

This is very nice as well as practical! I’ve been wanting something like this for about the past 30 years. I bet it’s really heavy with all that solid oak.
