Made this box for my wife. Construction is birch plywood. Side cabinets for necklaces are veneered in Lace Wood and stained inside. Center section is walnut veneer over the birch ply. The top is marquetry done by me of the hummingbird and flower. Pull knobs are from rockler and are solid brass.

Very nicely done, that should get a few brownie points. Love the marquetry, really a great build.

Nice work …and great choice of woods. The hummingbird is a perfect touch.

Great job, inlays are tedious and time consuming. Very good!

Beautiful! Are there any good books that a person wanting to get into veneering should have?
