It is that time of year that the turkey hunters start to pick up a few things so that is what I spend time on. I just got a box of beautiful blanks in and had to turn a few pieces just to see. These aren’t anywhere near the good stuff that came in so I can’t wait to get to that.
3” Spalted maple slate over glass and 3 3” tube calls 2 spalted maple and 1 holly.

Looking good. Can’t wait to see what comes out of the new batch of blanks. Great finish on them.

Nice work ghost5. Beautiful spalted maple. I’d like to learn more about the 3” tube calls. What sounds are made with those? Hen cluck? Purr? Is there a reed inside? A turkey hunter would be proud to have any of these in their pocket.
