Bookcase made from popular woodworking plans

Made from cherry, finished with Sealcoat Shellac and Waterlox original. It came close to being a a nice smoking wood for a low and slow barbeque, but in the end turned out ok. What I call a 2 foot project. Looks good from further than 2 feet, less than that not so much.

I may build another one, to practice new skills. If I do, I will make it just a tad taller so that the second shelf from the bottom can also fit the taller books.

Thanks for looking

You might think about making the middle two shelves adjustable. From here it looks great.

I really like it! How are the middle shelves attached?

they are not attached. They sit on the rails, but are not attached in any way

Thanks Keith, I’m really thinking about building one. If I understand correctly it could be broken down into a pretty compact package for moving and I like that concept. Do you find it racks much or is it pretty stable?
