This was probably the simple part of the project. They asked for a small and simple corner desk. It is also oak and tile to match the fireplace in the part 1 post. as an added feature I put in a small floating shelf as well. Over all they were very happy with the project.

Happy? I would say they would be tickled pink with the desk. My complements on a fine job. How did you attach the floating shelf?

Thanks Knothead. The shelf was two pieces of oak plywood that had a 3/4” gap on both sides. I attached a cleat to the wall and slid the shelf over before nailing it to the cleat.

Very nice build, great corner desk and shelf. Beautiful oak and the tiles are great accents which match the house. Great job!
