We needed a place to hang some coats and jackets in by the back door. I haven’t been feeling too well the past couple of days, but I just had to make some sawdust! I used a piece of Red Oak and pre-made oak plugs to cover the mounting screws. The hook on the right is intentionally twice the spacing because my wife has a coat with a big furry collar. I finished with minwax poly wipe on.

I had fun making it and I got to practice with my router table.

I made one almost identical, but I hid the mounting screws behind the coat rack hooks so you don’t even see them. Just a thought for the next one.

Nice job Steve. Looks like the need to hang up those winter coats has lots of LJ’s making these things. I recently threw one together for my daughter out of some leftover oak plywood. It is ok but I like your design much better. Keep up the fine work sir.
