Took a trip out to the closest Woodcraft yesterday (about 50 minutes away). While there, my youngest son (6) said he wanted me to try to turn a pen. After chatting with one of the salesmen who told me everything I’d need, my son picked out an acrylic blank. I had never turned acrylics before and figured why not. (My wife picked out an acrylic bottle stopper blank she wanted as well…I’ll post that in a few). Well here are the end results. an acrylic and marble wood pens, and a black walnut mechanical pencil. I think I’m hooked. They were a fun project and I’m already getting requests for more. I hope you enjoy! Thanks!

Good looking writing utensils you have there. Now take the scrap if not long enough to make more pens and make some fridge magnets. Good use of the smaller scrap. Or glue up to make some segmented pens. Pens are addictive.

They all look great, the blanks goes well with the kits and great finish. Well done!
