This is a little plate I made this morning. I don’t usually make plates or platters but I had this nice little piece of crotch maple. The crotch grain crosses the plate. It’s a bit over 8” in diameter and about 1.5” tall. Finished with a beeswax and maple oil blend. Critiques welcome.
Go Patriots.

This figure was perfect for a plate, Glen. It really turned out well, and I like your unique edge treatment. Nicely done!

And a fine little plate it became.

What a great piece of wood and a beautiful plate you made from it!
