A decorator wanted to accessorize the space around a gas fireplace. She asked me to turn some imitation candles since real ones would get soft from the heat of the fireplace.

I turned these “fake tapers” from tulip poplar. They will be displayed in a six-place iron candle holder. I expect to put a small piece of string in each to give the sense of a candle wick.

Aaron I would use some stranded copper wire instead of string or wick ~~ less apt to get lit and burn the house down ~~ Whoa people are so daft today. if you wanted you could paint it white but the copper might look cool with the popular!

Nice job

I agree with dviolinman. I was concerned about the “daft people” as well. They do look nice.
