Ah, the elusive bandsaw box. I have been wanting build one of these for a while and finally broke down and made the time to start one. It took al of about five hours, minus the glue up time. The box is five-3/4” cedar boards laminated together and cut to an irregular shape. I have learned I need an 1/8” blade on the saw to get a better cut for the drawer. I used a tung oil finish for the final product. Over all I am satisfied with the box and I have learned a lot about my bandsaw’s capabilities and limitations as well as my own. I will definitely be building more of these.

A good first bandsawn box start.

May I suggest that when deciding upon the bandsaw blade entry point, for bandsawing the drawer, that you select a line along the grain; if you do that the entry point is not so apparent when glued and the glued joint is a lot stronger.
