well i love walnut, and with your skill here you have made another beautiful knife block, looks good mike, hows the winter going there..ive got the good ole wood stove going this morn, it was about 37 here, and with the humidity, and me getting older, it felt cold….thanks for showing this…

Exceptional. I almost clicked by until I noticed the bookmatched grain on the face. Actually, I did click by, and I had to click back on my browser to figure out how the heck you did it!
I still don’t know how you cut such perfectly straight holes with the scrollsaw, lord knows I couldn’t do it. Really nice job and attention to detail.
I’d love to hear a little more about the process as I’ve never seen it done this way before. I’m sure you probably don’t have the time, but I for one think it’s blogworthy! Thanks for posting.

Nice knife block Mike. I like the construction with the scroll saw cut top piece and great job cutting those so accurate. I’d love to see a blog on this knife block.

Great looking knife block! Your walnut looks amazing with those awesome grains. Great accents on those Holly splines and strips, very attractive wood combo. Great job!
