Made from barn siding and dimensional pine lumber. I drew this out on a note pad to show my wife and she nodded her approval. Its 73” tall x 40” wide and 18” deep. This is a barn door style, but as you look at the pictures, you can see the multitude of choices you have to change this to fit any need. For the top: glass, stain-glassed, mirrors, etc. For the bench: Open as I built this, but can be three, two or single drawers or bench box for quilts, toys, etc. For paint/stain: Seriously this is wide open. I figure just from this one simple design, I could come up with over 12 possible builds.

Pic 1: Finished Hall Tree
Pic 2: The bench by itself (is attached to door with 12 – 3 1/2” long screws)
Pic 3: Door is finished. Not a good picture of it as its laying down.
Pic 4: The start, a wood pile!
Pic 5: My boss, who approves each and every project and helps on them all. I couldnt do half of what I accomplish without her! You know the saying, behind every good man is a better woman!
Pic 6: Customer after she finished it to her liking! She called it antiquing!

Nicely done. I really like a project that has something unique about it that you don’t see elsewhere.

Mark, I have to say I like the look of this piece and am jealous the my hall isn’t big enough to have one in it. The scallops on the bottom really add a classic vintage touch.
