My Boys' Toy Box

This is an old console stereo that I cut down and made into a toy box for my two boys, Matthew and Michael. It had a rosewood front that made me think it was worth the effort. The front is now half of a bottom drawer. The upper part is a false front of a hopper under the lid. To be sure this was a lot of work for a thrift store find. The form you see now was what I immediately saw when I noticed the piece on my way to lunch with an amused (read irritated) co-worker.

Great idea. I would have never thought of that.

What a great piece. I love to e-cycle old items that have awesome wood. Very creative Barry.

Fine looking toy box, can’t believe it came from an old console. Like the front with the drawers and the false one. Excellent job!
