This bowl is made of maple and walnut. This is my first segmented bowl. It has 109 pieces in it. I think it came out ok. There are a couple of issues with it. A few joints are a little wide, this is mainly due to impatience in sanding. Not bad for the first one though.

Looks pretty good from here, probably could have found a more difficult design for a first! What did you finish it with?

Thank you for the nice comments. I appreciate that. There a couple of joints that are a little wide. I told my wife after it was done maybe i should quit turning because this one came out so nice! I finished it only with butcher block conditioner as this one is going to be given away. I always worry someone will try to use my bowls for eating so i use this for give aways or bowls to sell. I did not expect it to be this good thats why its being given away. I promised it to a guy before i started it for his daughter. Now i wish i hadnt have done that. Ah well i can make a another.

It looks great and quite impressive for a first. Very nice wood colors and pattern. Great job!
