I built this table out of cyprus to hold my router. I was really trying to see if I could build raised panel doors, so I put two doors in the front and three panels in the back. I pegged it all together with miller dowels in a contrasting color-which are visible if you look closely. The door hinges are the only metal in the piece. The color is off in the pictures due to the flourescent lights in my shop. Cyprus is great wood to work with. Thanks for looking.

Really nice job on that build. I have sawed some bald cypress recently and was disappointed that mine has very little color (looks a lot like white pine).

Beautiful and sturdy looking table. Great design, like the doors and the pegs. Great job!

Have you used cypress for any other projects? Is it about the same as working with pine?

Have your say...
