this is the last of the 6 small tables I made for Christmas. This one is my favourite by far. although it has a very thick frame and top structure I think it would look good in certain situations. I can picture it in a tv room with a matching coffee table and a big screen tv. The legs are red oak, and I used 6-4 stock. the top is very special to me. I used walnut both heart wood and sap wood. I cut 3/4 strips, 1&1/4 inch wide and flipped them on edge then glued up a blank. after a little planning and much sanding I ended up with a top of 1 inch thick and 20 inches in diameter. Because of the curved legs I couldn’t use through mortise and tenon joints for an arts and crafts flair so I settled for hidden joints. All in all a very easy build of my own design. Of course using the golden ratio as my basic design guidelines. Thanks for checking out my work. Tables are my bread and butter.
