Project Information

This tapering jig is made in Finnish-plywood for durability and graduates from 0- to 12-degree.
Black traction tape deliverse a secure grip and the end stop can be replaced.
A hinge is integrated in the body of the jig to minimize the risk of accidentally hitting the teeth of the saw blade.

Pretty slick! How do you keep the workpiece attached to the jig while you use it?

Ed…One way would be to use two sided tape on the face of the jig…

First, nice job on the build-my below comments are not meant to take anything away from your specific project.

I personally find these types of tapering jigs to be unsafe, especially when tapering narrow stock as the workpiece is not secured to the jig. I would not trust double sided tape on a jig like this. I prefer the tapering jigs that use toggle clamps to secure the stock.

Again, no offense intended. You did a nice job on this build.
