It’s been a while since I’ve posted a project… But here is one of my latest commissioned pieces that included making a fence and a gate. I’ve grown to love welding just as much as my love for woodworking, so I’ve been attempting to incorporate both of them into my designs. Don’t mind those lights on top of the posts(the homeowner was toying around with putting lights up). I had to use additional bracing to support the fence boards from being pushed in or out on the gate. I also would highly recommend these “magna-latch” top pulls for the latching system. This allows me to hide the latch on the inside of the gate rather than displaying the traditional catch you often see.

Nice job! I also am a metal/wood guy and need to make some gates next year!

Nice! Redwood has become prohibitively expensive in our area. And it is one of my favorites to work with.

Looks great and well installed. I’m sure it’s sturdy and will last long. Like metal and wood combo as well. Great job!
