I call this “Under the Ol’ Malle Tree”. Red Mallee burl with a Blackwood stem & finial, and a Cocobolo base and inlay in the top. This was how I spent my Christmas break.

Real nice use of the burl Brett, you have a great finish on it. Break well spent. Just about have me wanting to turn some of my burls that I am saving for a rainy day.

That’s “sort of” awesome! I agree, a picture with the lid off would be nice.
