Shifter knob I made for my brother a couple years ago. wood came from a grab bag of I picked up at woodcraft. 2nd pic is different designs I was playing with all turned out of poplar dowel so I could actually touch it and see how it felt in the hand without using up good wood. Finished with spray lacquer.

I just bought a 1979 Honda with only 54K miles. It needs a new shift knob after all these years, you inspired me to turn my own.
Thanks for sharing!!!

Looks like you chose the shape on the right. I think I woulda liked the one in the middle (with the top rounded off just a tad).

And I have a ‘93 Honda Accord that just turned 385,000 miles and that old leather (or vinyl) knob could sure use a replacement. Nice outcome on your brothers! I’ll send you my address! :-)

-- Norman - I never never make a mistake, I just change the design.
