Made this for final craftshow of the year, it ended up staying in our dining room. I liked it too much to sell.
Cut from 3/4” oak with 1/4” maple overlays on my Excalibur scroll saw. The lumber was salvaged from a local lumber mill. It measures 20” tall X 11 1/2” wide. Thanks for looking. Scott.

Beautiful piece. Did you do it with a laser engraver or a scroll saw?

I only own scroll saws. Hawk, Excalibur, a currently broken Dewalt, and an antique belt driven Dunlap. This project was cut on the Excalibur using #5 and #2 blades. It was tough to cut because of the length, fitting 20 inches into the saws capacity of 21 inches and still keeping the detail looking good was hard. Spinning the whole piece around means stepping back from the saw a little, making it tough for my not so great eyesite.

Amen! I’m sure Jesus would approve, after all He was the Master Carpenter. Thanks for sharing.
