This is a bench I made for my sister for Christmas. The top is hard maple and the base is walnut. Every board was hand planed from rough lumber, and doweled together with oak dowels.

Hand work must give you a much better appreciation for the final result. Nice contrast between the woods. Fine work!

Beautiful, simple, elegant. Very good work.
