Christmas Cutting Boards

I was asked to make a few cutting boards for my Aunt to give as Christmas presents this year. Here are the ones I came up with for her. The first one is a design I saw on FWW. I really like how the inset woods seem to flow. Maple with walnut, maple, and lacewood strips.

The second is a smaller bread or cheese board. I picked up some curly maple and one of the boards had an interesting deposit in it. The wavy grain makes it look like a flame I think. Maple with purpleheart strips.

The last pictured is one of two end grain boards. I had just finished routing a juice groove. It was unfinished at the time and it has a slightly smaller twin sister with the same pattern not pictured. Maple, cherry, and walnut.

Thanks for checking out my work!

Great looking boards especially the endgrain board with the juice groove. Looks great without a finish, but I bet the grain really popped when you put the finish on. Do you have a layout for ripping and gluing the blanks?

Cool cutting boards! Great wood combo and the inlays are great accents. Well done!
