I used the plan from canadian home workshop. Template, magnet, pins are from lee valley. Bottom is walnut and top is birds eye maple. I had my wife use a fine point sharpee for letters and numbers and finish is wax. I didn’t have a big enough Forster bit so I used an adjustable bit with the wing on the side then used a small Forster bit to drill out the inside but now I had holes in the bottom so I turned a small disc of birds eye to cover them up. This was a 1st try and a christmas present for my boss as he’s an avid cribbage player so I hope he will love it.

Nice contrast in woods and a great job making the recesses for the cards and pegs…....................

Beautiful cribbage board. Do you have a picture of the pegs?

Thanks for your comments. I did a screen shot of the pegs as I don’t know how to post links. I used the metal pegs they have a nice feel and weight to them. The template you get is paper so it’s a one time use and have to free hand drill ( I used a drill press) so it’s not perfect but best I could do.

Have your say...
