Straight-forward: 6 oak slab tables requested for a restaurant opening.

2” rough cut red oak sitting in a barn since 1965 – got it real cheap – some of it was questionable

Milled down to 3.5” and 2.5” strips glued into 12” planks- planed smooth – then 2 planks glued together to for a 24”x72” table

Sanded then finished to match the rest of the tables I refinished for this restaurant ( see my other project post)

Went with a satin finish – not a big fan of gloss finishes

You achieved a nice smooth finish on this project. Your joint lines really disappear once the finish is applied.
I like the mellow brown stain too.

Nice work.
