Curved garden bench

I helped friends put in a circular patio this summer, and this section called out for a curved bench. I built it from white oak. The curved members are glue laminated. This process did not go very well, as I did not have a proper resaw blade for my band saw, and I also didn’t have the saw tuned terribly well (both issues are now corrected!). But, after making some extra scrap and dealing with some strips of irregular thickness, I got things to work. The curved rails are dovetailed into the legs, with hand cut dovetails. Notice I am not showing pictures of these – lol. They didn’t turn out very pretty, but the result seems sturdy. My friend put a couple coats of poly on the bench; it looks great in their back yard.
