Shabby Chic Chair Refinish

I was given this project by a friend and was asked to refinish it in the style of shabby chic. Sanding the chairs finish off was a nightmare, seemed so hard. Once through the original finish i found out that the wood was walnut to my disappointment since I was going to paint over it. anyway i painted it using a magnolia coloured paint, and roughly painting on to the chairs surface not always covering the wood. Once dry some 400 wet dry sandpaper rouged up the edges to expose some wood. Finally 2 coats of satin floor poly, the first coat i added a tiny amount of brown coloured dye to give it a dirty look, and then polished with some wax.
