I’m on a very slippery slope, making boxes is FUN.
The wood is air dried Black Walnut, splines are leftover curly Maple and the lid is Lace Wood.
For the finish, I used several coats of Danish Oil with wet sanding to fill the pores, the topcoat is 3 coats of General Finish Arm-a-Seal and 2 coats of wax.
This is a gift for our 3yr old niece, hopefully she likes it.

A very nice box …the wood is beautiful and the finish is excellent….nicely done.
