Here is my first attempt at a safety razor and shave brush set. The wood is Bocote – sorry about the picture, for some reason it will not let me rotate it! I made this set for my son, hope he likes it! Thanks for looking!!

Bocote is amazing and the brush is a display piece. Well done.

What sort of glue did you use to attach the brush to the wooden handle?
I assume it has to be waterproof and heat resistant.
Thank you.

Thanks for the comments. I used epoxy for both the brush and razor. Yes, the wood is now water proof! I’m sure he will enjoy using it.

Great looking set, the wood is gorgeous and finish really made the grains pop. I’m sure he’ll appreciate it. Great job!

Hi, I love the look of this set.
Would you be able to tell me where you got the kit for the razor?
The ones I have found do not have the bottom piece.
Does this fit on a pen mandrel?
Thanks!

Eddie
The safety razor is actually two kits – I liked the chrome ends and could not find a safety razor kit with the ends, so I took a regular razor kit and stole the end to make this safety razor.
Yes, it fits the pen mandrel

Great! I wondered if the threads were the same!
I have one kit for the mach 3 with the end piece.
Where did you buy the safety razor from?
I am looking at TheGoldenNib.com
They have two safety razors on their site (one made in China and one made by Parker)
They look very similar, if you purchased from the same site, which model did you go with?

I picked mine up at Golden Nib, only place I could find one. At the time, they only offered one – by reviewing the web site- the one I picked up was the Parker. It’s a really nice kit, finish is really nice.
The kit I stole the end from was a Marc 3 kit – just make sure all the part screw together before turning, which it should, then design away..
